PSALM TO PURACÉ
(Puracé National Park, Colombia)
An uneven stone path
leads me to the banks
of these
bubbling
blue pools
streaming to brooks
rushing, tumbling
around stones shellacked
pale-yellow sulfur
around cushions
of green mosses
Canto of these waters
of flittering aves, of the
wind across páramo
