photo of artwork and signs hanging on a wire fence. on the left is a large piece of red batik fabric with seagulls silhouetted on it; on the right is a painting of an elderly woman in profile kissing the cheek of a younger crying woman. on the far side of the wire fence are piles of rubble, concrete bags, and buckets on a green lawn.

Sherry has spent decades wandering the globe as a travel journalist, quietly watching the world and its people from behind, whether in the jungles of Columbia, a backstreet in Havana, or alone from a window in a squat hotel room in Paris—and whether with a 35 mm camera or an iPhone. This photograph was taken in a city park in Buenos Aires.
