Neva Delashmutt Sincick is an independent artist based in Portland, Oregon, where she currently lives with her family. Neva has been a purposeful and joyous paper-shredder for many years, and her collection of material has been waiting for the right collaborators to arise. Her life is one of intense interdependence, so it’s fitting that her first gallery show is a collaboration. Neva lives with Mowatt Wilson syndrome and has a gift for connecting with the people in her world through communication that is intense, physical, and nonverbal; her gift for connection has proved instrumental in defraying the isolation that can be prevalent in the lives of people living with significant disabilities. The lessons she offers to the world around her are many: find joy in the moment, in the unexpected, in the little things; honor the things that bring beauty and joy into your life, and be open to surprises.

She is on the board of the Northwest Collage Society and is a member of the National Collage Society.
