a literary journal published by the Black Earth Institute dedicated to re-forging the links between art and spirit, earth and society
Crash Solo is a collage artist, poet, and playwright in Bellingham, Washington. He has made thousands of small collages over the last fifteen years, most of which have been added to little booklets mailed all over the world to other artists, who add their art and pass it on. Through his art, Crash explores the idea that the mind makes up a story to make sense of what at first seem like unrelated words and images. He finds his process works best when he doesn’t think too much or try too hard to make ‘art,’ and instead frees himself to let interesting words and images find each other in the process.
