to record what was becoming invisible

all we wanted was to balance on the tightrope while the planet disco revolves

curved entry
transport between
disappearing points
indistinguishable in smoke

so many fires
tips of fingers
tree tops
rabid thoughts
ripe ripening
incendiary an ignition flick
simple gestures
handshakes flame then ash

cue secret mycelium lounge clubs
zap seed networks
jack pine aspen blueberry birch
wake-up-by-fire call

we try
we try so hard
to see the invisible
clouded by inbox messages
decipher bluegreen delete purple
light dilates then contracts pupils

necessity of tendril
activate antennae adaptations
shift blurry past tense
those that seeded before
trust elusive with all the burning
begin with scarified ground
carbon neutral enterprise
sun rays out of this world
