Austin Farber

Austin Farber is a writer and photographer from the United States. Austin has traveled the world visiting many countries in the Middle East and South Asia. Recently he journeyed to the West Bank of Palestine and photographed displays of art upon the West Bank Wall in Bethlehem separating Palestine from Israel. Since the war in Gaza began, Israel has imposed restrictions on Palestinians crossing into Israel, leaving the West Bank populace isolated and ensnared by sanctions. As a result of this policy, Muslim pilgrims from Palestine were prohibited to cross into Jerusalem for their annual Ramadan pilgrimage to the Dome of the Rock. The West Bank Wall is adorned with artwork conveying political challenges and emotional statements. The Untitled image depicts a visage of Eyad Al-Hallaq who was shot 8 times and killed by Israeli police. Holy Land depicts a shattered West Bank Wall revealing the holy city of Jerusalem.
