Editor’s Note:

Artists pour into empty areas and even empty buildings, new life takes shape. Teachers and students find a green but spiritual path to rebuild and hold dear.  New agriculture blends community awakening, food justice, sustainable economies and a fun and fulfilling path for the next generation.  Detroit and Milwaukee have grown institutions and hope. At the end we are offered a better world based on the idea of the commons.  Can we dare think such?  I believe we can.
