a literary journal published by the Black Earth Institute dedicated to re-forging the links between art and spirit, earth and society
Richard O’Russa is a painter and letterpress printer. He is interested in the grid form in both city and country environments and how these lines of restriction inform our perceptions of space. As a resident of New York City and a native of rural Illinois, he connects these divergent worlds through a reconfiguring of line using the mediums of pencil, pen, oil paint or type.
Richard’s piece “Dark City Shine” is featured on the Wall Street cover.
