Exhaust
"Exhaust" by Jacob Hill. About Place Journal, Volume III Issue I: Enlightened Visions. June 2014, aboutplacejournal.org

On an earth that flows with energy, we are transformed every day. But we don’t realize how those of us in the industrialized world are poisoned by what we accept as common–exhaust from cars, planes and other vehicles and smoke from industry. On each level, the elements that sustain us are less substance and more energy: strong winds, deeper winters, new cloud formations.

Jacob Hill is an up-and-coming designer from St. Paul, Minnesota. He currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin. In December 2013, he completed his Associates Degree in Graphic Design from Madison College. For Jacob, the most enjoyable aspect of Graphic Design is working from concepts to production: solving problems and turning the solutions into visual communication. His biggest passions are acrylic painting and using design software. He believes that using a vector art gives the design more precision. He is a visual artist with an eye for color and typography to make a visually appealing product. He would like to design comic books most of all, as well as logos, icons, and band posters. It takes a really good idea and some hard work to make the smallest job come to life.
