Elizabeth Jacobson is the author of A Brown Stone (Dancing Girl Press), Her Knees Pulled In (Tres Chicas Books) and two forthcoming chapbooks (2017), one for DGP and a second from Miriam’s Well. She is the founding director of the WingSpan Poetry Project, a not-for-profit which conducts poetry classes at shelters in Santa Fe, NM and Miami, FL. WingSpan has received two grants from the Witter Bynner Foundation. Recent poems have appeared or are forthcoming in the American Poetry Review, Hinchas de Poesia, Indolent Books, JuxtaProse, Orion Magazine, Ploughshares, Plume, Poet Lore, Taos Journal of Poetry, The American Journal of Poetry, The Laurel Review, The Miami Rail and Women’s Studies. Elizabeth’s work was selected as a finalist for the Poetry Society of America’s 2017 Robert H. Winner Memorial Award. She has received residencies from Atlantic Center for the Arts and Herekeke, and has an MFA from Columbia University.
