Each new wave, breakers
Scumbling the wide prospect, the beach framed
In weak wash
But tides skew perspective, salt swathing
Keystone perpendiculars, the built environment
The law of storms invalidates
Upper storeys—floorboards, scooped-mullion bays, glass
Hazy as summer recollections, all, crazed
And twisted, the sea greater than these, the house
Hung in rain
Time eats the world, the day as it is
And the day to come
