A boy chases a balloon the wind takes away
A pale moon wavers in the air
Yellow pool on the water –
the river turns in an oxbow
winds us around the moon
In forest’s spacious rooms
smelling of moss and wet spruce
sparrows dip wings in rain water pools
–An osprey pushes us away–
Mist falls on our faces
twilight unspools, full of nets
We wade to shore, boat loaded with firewood
our boots filling up with night
